I See Dead People

As some people may know, I have two doggies. Diesel and Chewie are so adorable and cute, but I swear to God, they wake me up almost every night with the same behavior.

In the middle of the night, I get woke up by incessant barking and growling. Both dogs are staring straight ahead and barking at "someone" in my apartment ~ but to the human eye, no one is there.

Last night they woke me out of a sound sleep. I tried to quiet them down, then went to the bathroom and WOW ~ both dogs really started going then.

I'm trying to calm them down when something comes to me. I say (to my empty apartment, mind you), "Ok, whoever is here, you have to leave now. You are upsetting my dogs."

Both dogs quieted down and went back to sleep.

Incommunicado Lately

Ok, guys ~ I have been incommunicado lately and a lot of people have been asking me what's up.

I've had a lot of "stuff" going on in my personal life that just needed to be dealt with. It was not "hobby" related. A friend in my personal life was going through a really bad depression. I tried to help her ~ I got bit in the butt. Note to self: Stop being so nice to people.

He was an outstanding student. He was never in trouble. He didn't have a police record. BUT he shot 15 students at Northern Illinois University.

He was, however, on medication. He stopped taking the medication and became erratic and started shooting people.

FIVE young people are dead today.

FIVE young people who were just attending a lecture.

FIVE young people who were preparing for their future.

I hate guns.

GUNS kill people. I don't want to hear the bullshit of "People Kill People". If this kid couldn't get a gun, he would not have been able to kill these FIVE young people.

A proponent of the NRA states that the right to carry arms help keep peace ~ tell that to the parents of the FIVE YOUNG PEOPLE, who were just attending a lecture, who were preparing for their future AND WHO ARE DEAD TODAY.
