The Word of the Day is ~ Women

A woman who is convinced that she deserves to accept only the best challenges herself to give the best.
Then she is living phenomenally.

The Word of the Day is ~ Risks

To laugh is to risk appearing a fool, To weep is to risk appearing sentimental To reach out to another is to risk involvement, To expose feelings is to risk exposing your true self To place your ideas and dreams before a crowd is to risk their loss To love is to risk not being loved in return, To hope is to risk despair, To try is to risk to failure. But risks must be taken because the greatest hazard in life is to risk nothing. The person who risks nothing, does nothing, has nothing is nothing. He may avoid suffering and sorrow, But he cannot learn, feel, change, grow or live. Chained by his servitude he is a slave who has forfeited all freedom. Only a person who risks is free.

The Word of the Day is ~ Ability

~A human being should be able to change a diaper, plan an invasion, butcher a hog, conn a ship, design a building, write a sonnet, balance accounts, build a wall, set a bone, comfort the dying, take orders, give orders, cooperate, act alone, solve equations, analyze a new problem, pitch manure, program a computer, cook a tasty meal, fight efficiently, die gallantly. Specialization is for insects.~

~My Quest For Quiet ~

This weekend, I did a lot of home and hearth. Yesterday, I went to Home Depot and bought flowers for my balcony. I then went to Target and found a battery operated candle that is on a timer. It goes on when it starts to get dark and then clicks off 5 hours later.

I hung another plant hanger on my balcony, and next week, I am getting another hanging pot.

During my week off, I made a list of home improvement projects that I want to do.

These "define me".

My "personal" persona is quiet (almost shy), a loner with the exception of my family, and very home and hearth like.

In a job where I am so unlike that, my "down time" defines who I am and keeps me sane.

One of the reasons I am not a social butterfly and tend to shy away from spending my private time with other's in my industry is that my private time is exactly that MY private time.

I LOVE spending time with my family. Why would I want to be with anyone else?

I LOVE nesting. What is better then sitting on your couch with an awesome book and reading? When you read, you are transported to places and are put in situations that nothing else can compare to.

What is better then cooking in your kitchen? You are creating, you are smelling the good smells. That is most definitely life worth living.

I adore crafting. I love hooking rugs, doing needlework projects and painting. What is better then creating and then sharing that creation with others.

My other hobby, now that the weather is better, is biking and hiking. What is better then being surrounded by nature? I adore getting up really early on the weekend and taking my bike to a bike trail or going on a hiking trail?

Being with "me" makes me a much better provider. My mind is clear, my senses are more acute, my libido is recharged. There is no negative energy around me. I am fresh. I am at peace and ready to give and receive. I am ready, in my own quiet and peaceful way to want, desire, nurture, care....

I love Mondays.
